No doubt you´re aware of the new gorgeous, ultra-luxury resort across from Quinta Shopping in Quinta do Lago…the Conrad Algarve. What you may not yet know is that this hotel features an elegant gourmet restaurant by a multi-award-winning chef. Introducing…Gusto by Heinz Beck.
Gusto is the second restaurant within Hilton Worldwide’s luxury brands helmed by Beck. At La Pergola in the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri, Beck holds three Michelin stars (the only restaurant in the Italian capital honored with this high recognition). Beck is also awarded a Michelin star at Apsleys, his restaurant at the Lansborough Hotel in London.
At Gusto, Beck’s team prepares contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. The menu changes with the season and availability of fresh ingredients. Some recent items include Parmigiano Reggiano risotto, and Atlantic lobster medallions on cous cous, to start. A couple standout main courses include: duck breast with persimmon; and veal tenderloin in Jasmine tea. For dessert, the house specialty is Cocoa Sable, this chocolaty concoction is a dark chocolate “gravel” on top of a chocolate cremosa served with strawberry sorbet.
Gusto is a modern sophisticated space with Scandinavian-inspired design. A large open kitchen gives guests the opportunity to view the lively theatrics of the chefs. A large terrace with views of the resort and distant Loulé countryside is ideal for dining al fresco on warm Algarvian evenings.
After the meal, relax in the Gusto cocktail bar. A wide variety of liquors, ports, teas and Cuban cigars are the ideal accompaniment to the fine meal.
