Forget about that post-holidays, new year diet! It’s only January and there’s a very good reason to indulge once again. The Festival of Chocolate returns to the Loulé Municipal Market (Mercado Municipal de Loulé) Thursday, 31 January through Saturday, 2 February.

Those with a sweet tooth and a craving for chocolate will be happy to know that the entire central square of the large historic market will be featuring the decadent dark delight. Cakes, fondues, candy, fountains, are on display and for sale by local and national merchants.

Activities and demonstrations are also scheduled for the three day event.

Admission to the festival is free. Your addiction to chocolate will cost!

Festival hours are Thursday the 31st to Saturday the 2nd, 10:00 to 19:00
