For summer 2013, the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery features the sculptures of Spanish artist Miguel Ponticu. His works, primarily in steel, will exhibit at the gallery through 5 August.
Note: The public is invited to the Opening Cocktail Reception on 4 June at 18:30.
Ponticu is a native of Gijon, Spain. He has gained many devoted fans in Spain through his use of steel in various stages of oxidization. He creates thought-provoking pieces with nature as his inspiration. It is a juxtaposed concept of industrial material versus organic vision.
Ponticu’s works are now held in many private collections, including the Royal House in Spain, and installed in public spaces such as in the city of Oviedo. Additionally, his works have exhibited at exhibits such as Naval Museum in Madrid, the Albuquerque Museum, in New Mexico, and the Contemporary Sculpture Center in Tokyo.
Entrance is free.
